As a MANAOLA Hawai’i retail store manager, you will be an ambassador of the brand. You will lead and develop the store ohana through inspiring hands-on management and coaching. You will manage and coach your team into building irreplaceable kanaka kūʻai (customer) relationships, ensuring that every kanaka kūʻai is treated according to the MANAOLA Lifestyle. You will strive to identify business opportunities and implement the related actions in order to ensure the achievement of your store’s goals. You will be directly accountable for developing the business and monitoring your store’s operations and budgets.
Responsibilities
Team Management and Development:
-Develop sales managers to ensure the team deliver the MANAOLA Lifestyle to every kanaka kūʻai, through demonstrating and modeling service with aloha
-Support the sales managers with consistent coaching, identify their development and training needs and those of the retail staff, partner with the sales managers to implement individual action plans
-Manage and coach managers into managing and developing their own teams
-Efficiently organize the team according to business needs and delegate responsibility
-Effectively convert strategic and business goals into team as well as individual actions and objectives
-Fashion attainable yet challenging team and individual goals based on company targets; assess, monitor and manage performance to ensure these goals are achieved
-Drive the business by creating a positive work environment, empowerment, encouragement, management, and motivation
-Identify, recruit, and develop retail staff
Kanaka kūʻai and Business Development:
-Cultivate a comprehensive and strategic understanding of the business and relation to all kanaka kūʻai through leadership and development
-Maximize the potential of all product categories carried in the store, utilizing all available support (visual merchandising, training, events, MANAOLA Lifestyle)
-Build loyal kanaka kūʻai
-Create a kanaka kūʻai centered etiquette in store to ensure the highest level of customer experience and achieve service with aloha.
-Be the voice of the store through understanding the business and local competitors to suggest action and recommendations
-Act as a MANAOLA Hawai’i ambassador in the local community through proactive representation of the brand in local activities
-Lead by example on the floor, identify opportunities for improvement through an understanding of the kanaka kūʻai mai needs
-Ensure business maximization through efficient sales floor management
-Provide consistent and qualitative feedback, through on the spot coaching
Operations:
-Ensure policies, standards and Manaola Hawaii procedures are communicated and implemented
-Monitor store controllable expenses, supervise loss, asset protection and risk management
Qualifications:
-Bachelors in business
-Minimum 5 year retail experience
-Minimum 3 year management experience
-Japanese speaking skills a plus
